The taste, service, and staff/owner behaviour were absolutely on point – couldn’t ask for better! ⭐ Must try: The Aloo Tikki Chaat – truly the showstopper. If you’re a street food lover visiting Southall, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We travel all the way from St Albans for this as we won’t go anywhere else for chaat. The owner Ravi is so kind and makes all the chutney, tikki etc from scratch, which is unheard of. He can customise the chaat to your preference (spicier, sweeter). So fresh and delicious, served with a smile. The best chaat I’ve had in the UK!

Great service, great chaat, what’s not to like. Staff are friendly and happy to customise dishes (for me that meant without yoghurt to make it vegan) Wish they had more seats as sometimes it can get busy but it does add to the charm

What a hidden gem. We came here for a quick bite after exhausting wedding shopping. Didn't expect much but came because of the reviews. Delicious food, great value and great customer service. Will come again! Lovely street food thats yummy

I tried several items on the menu — the pani puri was crisp and perfectly tangy, the aloo tikki chaat had the right mix of crunch and spice. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor.
The owner was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food he was serve. The hygiene and cleanliness of the space were impressive as well, which is always a huge plus.

Superb customer service and amazing atmosphere. The place is always clean and food is just absolutely delicious. I was taken by surprise when I tried the pani puri because it tasted just like when I was in India. The tikki chaat was also full of flavours and just the right amount of spice. If you’re looking for authentic Indian chaat in London, look no further than Chaska Chaat Bhandar in Southall. This small, charming shop specializes in chaat dishes that transport you straight to the streets of India. The cozy setup, with just two small tables and a standing area, adds to the authenticity and charm—exactly what you’d expect from a traditional chaat shop.
The Food
We tried three dishes, each of which was an absolute delight:
• Bhalla Papdi Chaat
This dish was perfection. The bhallas were soft, the papdi was crisp, and the vibrant flavors of tamarind sauce, yogurt, coriander chutney, fresh coriander, pomegranate, and beetroot created a medley of textures and tastes. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The friendly chef whipped it up in minutes, and we were savoring it in no time.
• Pani Puri
On the chef’s recommendation, we tried the pani puri, served as a plate of five crisp shells filled with tangy, spicy water and crispy bits. What stood out was the chef’s attention to detail—asking our spice preference (medium or spicy). The medium spice was perfect for us, and the burst of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors with the crisp shell made it a standout dish.
• Ragda Pattice Chaat
This warm dish was a true comfort on a cold day. A hot, sizzling patty served as the base, topped with yogurt, beetroot, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, pomegranate, and fresh coriander. The warm patty combined with the symphony of chutneys and fresh ingredients was a flavorful masterpiece that left us craving more.
Service and Tips
The service was exceptional. The chef was friendly, attentive, and quick, ensuring our preferences were met while delivering dishes bursting with flavor. A tip for visitors: try to arrive early. The shop opens around 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and we arrived at 1:20 p.m. to secure a spot. Alternatively, grab it as a takeaway—you won’t regret it.
Final Thoughts
We’d give Chaska Chaat Bhandar a glowing 5 out of 5 stars. The food was exceptional, the service was warm and efficient, and the authenticity was unparalleled. It’s hands down the best chaat we’ve had in London, even surpassing higher-end restaurants. If you’re in Southall, don’t miss this hidden gem. Whether dining in or taking away, you’re in for a truly incredible chaat experience!- Service
